9 months old

Okay, I've been really bad at keeping up with this blog. I will try to be better! As every other parent can attest, your life is very busy once you have a child!

Henry is doing really well and is growing fast! He just had his 9 month check up and is a bit thin for his age and is of course a bit short for his age too. But he looks healthy, so the doctor isn't concerned! He has been crawling for about 1 1/2 months and his bottom 2 teeth are in. Hopefully the top two will be in soon so they will stop bothering Henry. He takes it all in stride, however, and continues to be easygoing. He has begun to pull himself up on everything.

Dandy and Gladys are adjusting to the fact that Henry can now quickly get to them and they are constantly on the move since Henry is constantly on the move! Calvin is recovering from knee surgery, so he's not on the move yet!

Gladys continues to "mother" Henry and just adores him. Of course Dandy and Calvin do as well.

Henry loves his friends at daycare and gets to see his cousin Lily at "school" each day! They are always happy to see each other.

Henry-9 weeks old!

Henry Louis has arrived and what a wonderful gift he is! He arrived 4/23 at 4:56 pm after us being at the hospital for 34.5 hours. It didn't go exactly as planned, but the prize at the end was great and made it all worth it! We've been working hard on getting BR (Baby Raether)'s room ready. So far everything is set, Mike is moving along quickly with finishing the basement and doing some babyproofing, and Lynette is busy getting everything else cleaned, set up, and packed. Friends and family have been very helpful with the basement as well since Lynette can't paint right now.
Just when we think we are ready we think of "just one more" thing we need to do!
The dogs are ready and Calvin has investigated the bassinet. Dandy keeps checking the stroller and crib to see if there's a baby in there yet, and he LOVES the mobile! Gladys just doesn't really care about the room so long as everyone is happy.
